About ASOF

The ASOF workshop is one of two workshops focused on sharing and promoting the development of polar technologies in support of ocean science. The workshop series was first started in 2018 to bring together the engineering and technical communities working in the very challenging marine polar areas. It also presented an opportunity to connect Arctic and Antarctic technical teams who would not normally interact but are often facing similar challenges in their work.

Polar Oceans Technical Committee

The ASOF workshop is a formal activity of the IEEE Ocean Engineering Society’s Polar Ocean Technical committee which works to promote and create communities around the development of polar technologies for ocean science.
